What is the goal of this school supply donation project?
Growing up, Hung had struggled himself when it came to getting school supplies. He wants to lessen the financial burdens that families often face, leaving their children with barriers in the K-12 school system. His goal is to collect and distribute essential school supplies to K-12 students in need, helping both families and teachers in the process.
How can I donate and what kinds of school supplies are you accepting?
You can schedule a drop-off in our Contact Us section or scan our QR Code below for our Amazon wish list to see what school necessities you can directly donate and see what items fit within our needs. We accept a wide range of school supplies, including notebooks, pencils, pens, backpacks, calculators, erasers, and more. However, any new unused school supplies are always welcomed!
When and where will the supplies be donated?
Supplies will be distributed at various times throughout the year. I will work closely with the local schools' admins near my college to ensure supplies reach those in need.
How can I stay updated on the project's progress and activities?
We have an Instagram account @sdsds4all. There, we will post updates and progress for the project! On our website we also have a blog that will have weekly updates about the project as well.
Will there be a deadline for donations?
Yes, there will be a deadline and it is the BEFORE THANKSGIVING ON THE 24th OF NOVEMBER. This ensures parents, teachers, and students get the supplies they need before the long winter break!
